Breathing Breaks: Desert Wanderland Meditations

Good Mornin’ Sunshine: One Minute Breath Meditation

Breathe normally. Stare Directly into the sun (in the video).

Slow your breath to the inhale and exhale of my arms rising.

Breathing breaks can be taken while riding on busses or trains while coming or going from that daily grind, take a moment to drift away in breath land.

In lieu of a smoke break or as a combination of the two: take one deep inhale and exhale between drags, sometimes results in more light headedness (natural high 😉

Breathing Breaks can also be taken throughout the day at the office, while starting up that slow computer, your iphone can take you to the mountain you wish you could be on instead of sitting in a cubicle, sorry.  If this is the case, one minute breaks between emails can refresh your thoughts and set your communication up for clarity.

If you are comfortable with extending your arms like a Phoenix bird  getting ready to take flight (public display of breathing is totally legal yet social normed ones may scoff): raise and lower your arms continuing to breathe in seated lotus or standing tadasana.  One of my fav social experiments – I do this on street corners before crossing a busy intersection – totally takes people off their guard.

Seattle loved ones, it’s been a wet one, if you haven’t seen the sun in a while, here is a one minute dose of blazing heat for you!

6 Minute Meditation

Breathe normally. Stare Directly into the sun (in the video).

Slow your breath to the inhale and exhale of my arms rising.

As you gaze and listen, notice the movement of the Creosote, the sounds of the desert within the city.

Allow the sounds to come and go, drift into the space with a continuous inhale and exhale.

When the video ends, continue to breathe, and go on with your day in peace and clarity.
